What it does
- Downloads one encoded installer file
- Extracts loaders + runtime to
/opt/awcencode - PHP 8.1 → its own loader
- PHP 8.2 → its own loader
- PHP 8.3 → its own loader
- PHP 8.4 → its own loader
- PHP 8.5 → its own loader
On the server
Run as root. The installer finds PHP 8.1–8.5, writes a separate loader for each version, and enables sodium when possible (for older encodes).
New encodes use OpenSSL and run without sodium. If you see “needs the PHP sodium extension”, re-run the installer (or re-encode the addon).
curl -fsSL https://awcencode.com/install.php | sudo php
That is the only command. It works on cPanel, DirectAdmin, Ubuntu, Plesk, and LiteSpeed.
New encodes (ionCube-style): install the loader, deploy encoded files — no license.velxlic on the server.
Legacy encodes still need matching license*.velxlic in /usr/local/lib/php/awcencode/keys/ until you re-encode them.
curl -fsSL https://awcencode.com/install.php | sudo php -- --license=/path/to/keys
Optional: upload all license*.velxlic for old files. The loader tries every file.
WHM Terminal: the same command works. The installer finds EasyApache CLI PHP even when Terminal php is CGI.
Preview: curl -fsSL https://awcencode.com/install.php | sudo php -- --dry-run
/opt/awcencode# Ubuntu sudo systemctl restart php8.1-fpm php8.2-fpm php8.3-fpm php8.4-fpm php8.5-fpm # cPanel /scripts/restartsrv_apache_php_fpm # DirectAdmin systemctl restart php-fpm81 php-fpm82 php-fpm83 httpd
curl.exe -fsSL https://awcencode.com/install.php | php
Run that in an Administrator prompt so each php.ini can be updated.
